Shortly after it's revealed that Crissy and Jenny are not Carlos's, Mary flees, which tragically ends with a brutal car crash. This results in the end of Mary's and her daughter Crissy's life. The accident leaves Jenny in the hospital, but she pulls through. Jenny and Charlie are raised by Carlos, the only father Jenny ever knew, with both of her biological parents being dead.
